Carlos asks about Japanese left publications in English and other
languages. We get a publication in English called "The People's Star",
the international bulletin of the Communist Party of Japan (Left).
The address is
JINMIN NO HOSHI,
3-28 Kamitanaka 3
Shimonoseki
750 JAPAN
I confess that I don't read it thoroughly. A lot of it seems to me
to be political rhetoric vaguely similar to Maoist discussions of
how to carry out the class struggle inside the party. They also
have some interesting articles about industrial conditions once and
a while. They also vigorously denounce all the bourgeois political
parties in Japan.
They send it to us as an exchange so I don't know what it costs.
I have never noticed anyone from their tendency on any of the
Internet lists I am on.
