Searching the Archives
Steve Wallis, makes a good point about using the archives.
<<P.S. Much of Chris' [Croome} message was covering old ground that we discussed
before he joined the list. ... If he or anybody else is interested, then I
suggest either searching the list's archives (but I don't know how -
could someone please give details?) or I can email my previous posts
on this subject to you (I've kept copies of most if not all of them,
but not the posts I was replying to).>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
It is normal for questions to come round and to reproduce themselves
periodically. This is part of the learning process on this
list, but it is valuable if they can incorporate some of what was
clarified in the past.
And it is probably rather recently that some definitive statements
(definitive for the time being) were made about entrism and the
UK Labour Party etc.
It is a while since I visited the archives but the essence is to look out
for the indexes and scan. I keep a working copy on my hard disc which
I have pasted together but it got to 750K just from Jan to Nov 95 so
it could not be stored in that form for downloading. It is presumably
a compromise about the size of the chunks to store it in, between
ease of downloading versus ease of browsing.
Anyway can I encourage Chris Croome and others to browse around the archives.
It might be useful if Steve Wallis could indicate the time period
when the posts took place.
Help is available. This is from our introductory note.
Chris B,
London.
