Purges/Das erste Tribunal/KPD-0
Wolfgang mailed me quickly privately, and I am going to take the
liberty to pass the point on, as I would hope that as much of this
debate can take place on list, whether in German or English.
He confirmed that the book he was reviewing about the first
protopurges in the German Party in the early 20's had *no*
evidence of any direct complicity of Stalin in these events.
They must be explained in other ways.
I regard this as further evidence that we must all commit ourselves
to be analytical if we are to learn from the errors of the 20th
century.
Chris, London.
