Re: Yugo Politics
Chris,
Thanks very much for the posting on the Peace Conference. This is the
type of post that renews my faith in the democratic left. While some
might reject its particular focus on NGOs as the only genuine voice of the
left,it exemplifies labor politics at its best. People called out for a response
resembling the left's action in Spain. This seems to provide such a spirit,
while learning the lessons of that glorious enterprise which ultimately
failed.
Labor has no army, but labor can be militant and active in peacekeeping.
This caps off the happy news from Spain which leaves me full of hope for
the new year!
re the internationalism of 8 bits. I'm for it in theory, Know nothing about
the operationalization of it in fact, and am concerned due to my inability
to use MIME or PINE on my machine (I use elm).
