Like I think many others, I was very pleased to see your contributions
in French, and in English, in 7 bits and in 8 bits.

Two quick points.

The 8 bit pseudo translation appears to be trying to make you write
"franglais". I hope this is not some terrible technological Freudian slip.

I agree with other contributors, that "francais" even without the cedilla
is much preferable.


2. You have more than once asked apology for "murdering" the English
language. Such apologies, I must explain, are really not in order.

For one thing your English is truly formidable.

For another, the English language has been built up over the centuries
through layer upon layer of creative lingusitic murder. French can be
murdered. English cannot. It is the product of murder.

So please do not apologise any more for murdering English.

[But please do not murder Luigi. Death on the internet tends to be
prolonged and  very *noisy*. Clear criticisms, yes please.]

I am sure many subscribers look forward to more posts from France!
