I was wondering when someone would reply on government workers. A
distinction needs to be made between state power and government sevices.
Police. Prison Guards. Military Commissioned Officers. Politicians.
Higher bureaucracy. CIA. FBI. Etc. These are agents (or embodiments) of
state power and are either the enemy "himself" or "his" agents (lapdogs,
whatever).
But services (delivering messages, nursing the sick, making steel
when the steel industry is nationalized inside a capitalist economy) are
still services; those who carry them out are pure and simple part of the
working class. The PATCO defeat was a disaster for the whole working
class, even for the international working class.
