Interesting post to say the least. However, I must say that, not to defend
your Lazy petty-bourgeois pseudo-intellectual,  that Stalin was not exactly
what you would call a nice guy. He did butcher many people in the Moscow Frame
up trials, most because they were Trotskyists or Leninists. Stalin hated
Trotsky (he had him killed, remember) simply because he did not suport the new
burocracy that developed in the USSR (or RSFSR at the time) and he belived
that the workers should have a real voice in their gevernment. Stalin thought
thet the privilged burocracy was good- mainly because he was in it. Through
out his life he only tried to remove the peoples say in their affairs. I agree
with Trotsky that Stalin was counter revoloutionary. There are many examples
of this- the rise of Hitler because of the counter revoloutionary tendancies
of the 3rd international, the famins braught on by the 5 year plans, and,
indeed, the fact that the Nazis got as far into Russia as they did (the purges
again). Stalin did not even suport the idea that Soviet Russia should
encourage other workers to revolt (!)- Socialism in one country and all that.
As for Lenin, I would have to agree with you that he was a great man and
certinaly a "liberator of mankind."
