Well, it's like this.  There seem to be constant problems with the outward
movement of mail from the jefferson machine.  For hours a time, mail just
stops being sent out and the diagnostic on the mail queue is something
like: connection timed out with uvaarpa.  This has been happening almost
every day.  I have tried to get someone to tell me what's going on, but
no luck so far.  In any case, if people don't receive any list mail for
long stretches of time, it's probably due to this uvaarpa problem.  We
did have this problem for most of the day yesterday.
