FLAME WARS
You know, I expect people to take time out of their personal life
to engage on personal attacks on other net forums, and I guess I have come
to expect it here unfortunately. I am rather tired of flipping through
various attacks on someone for assumed personal habits, rather than a
critique of their views.
What fucking difference does it make if someone is Miss Manners
of the leftist set? Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian, loved children and
animals, and was generally considered a rather nice person. Marx, on the
other hand, was an abusive, philandering, asshole. If we were to judge
them on their personal habits alone, well . . . 'nuff said.

"Gas! GAS! Quick boys!--an ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone was still yelling out and stumbling,
And flound'ring like a man in fire or lime . . .
Dim, through the misty panes and the thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning."
>From "Dulce Et Decorum Est," written sometime between Oct. 1917 & March
1918, by Wilfred Owen, killed in the last week of WWI.
