        Thanks for the information. Could you provide more, or send me to
where I can get more? More specifically (showing my ignorance here): the
Cleveland Conference? Hall's idiotic remarks? I knew Davis had been C of
C, but haven't known when or why she left CPUSA; part of the reason for
not knowing this if not knowing where to find out this sort of information.
        Not surprising to hear thre's moves being made to take away the
chair, etiher. When it was given to her, there was much flack, very
similar to the flack generated against her teaching way back in '68. As I
recall, in '68 the San Diego _Union_ was instrumental in ousting Marcuse,
and also Davis. Almost the exact same words and accusations were tossed
out this past spring when she got that chair.
