International Socialist Organization

I'm trying to get some background information about the ISO. They seem
to be the largest leftist group here on the University of Iowa campus and
have their fingers in many single-issue groups as well (the campaign for
a teaching assistants union, protests against classroom censorship, gay
rights groups, etc). What ideological line does the ISO follow, and what
is their history? Are they one of the Trotskyist _cults_ so feared by
many on this list?
