This is in essence my objection to the Maoists. What do they mean by
"worked"?  They maee the revolution the story will go and traitors
ruined the utopias after their demise. Like Stalin, Mao ensured that those
who followed him would be counter revolutionaries and thieves.  You simply 
cannot draw a line in
history at 1976 or 1953 and say that the Great Leaders have not left
structures behind that are responsible for the mess that China and Russia
are getting into today.  If you add to this the international crimes of the
Maoists with their lunatic theory of the Two Imperialsims then sure it
worked.  richard Nixon would have to be one of the most extreme examples
of low life around but Mao and company have left in place a structure in
china where Nixon's name is revered.  But maybe Pat for MIM should not
take my word for it.  Maybe he should go to China.  Like soon.
