I still have a business card with `You have been patronized by the
Ku Klux Klan' on it -- graphic and everything -- one of these early
`boneheads' gave it to me where we worked when I used to live in
Montreal in the 80's...

I also worked and socialized with anti-racist skinheads there, so
I understand where you are coming from -- not everyone with a peachfuzz
head is necessarily a fascist, but it sure gets confusing (they would want
to rob a bank, but they sure weren't racist..!)

Ya, I came all the way to Toronto to see her speak at the ARA
meeting, along with that smart guy from Quebec (forget his name (Pierre ?)
-- he's often interviewed on the radio. Maybe Doug could get him on his
radio show...) Besides the fire-alarm going off the whole time, the bag
searches and all the paranoia that night, (not to mention the usual
ultra-left groups flogging their papers to the Converted outside) it was a
very informative event. I especially liked the Nazi farm film... :>

On the way there, I got off at the wrong subway and had to walk a
few blocks. This woman followed me the whole way, and I finally started
talking to her -- turns out she was the Toronto Star's reporter sent to
the event. I told her I couldn't be bothered to read the bourgeois rag
any more (politely, of course) and I got all my info from left papers and
radio... Her body language told me she was `filing' my talk away in her
head, and I later saw her wandering around at the event with that
`detached' look so favored by the bourgeois press...

How DID that event play in The Star the next day (if it did at
all)?
