Sorry, sent off my response to TimW on the Cold War before it was set. I
was referring to the broader international dimension - not a meaningful
revolution since 1979, loss of an alternative model means no incentive for
the big fat kapitalists to compromise on welfare state (or in the US, on
racial) issues, collapse of social democracy, the horrendous wars in EE/FSU
- to start with.
