Louis:
If this is the same Castoriadis I saw at the Socialist Scholars
Conference, I definitely would like to track his writings down. Castoriadis
spoke on a panel on the former Soviet Union and was absolutely profound,
in the same league as Mandel.

He is a short, squat man who favors dark suits, white shirts and wears
horn-rimmed glasses which do not shield a fierce, penetrating gaze. I got
the impression he's some kind of Trotskyist, but I didn't hold this against
him.
