I quite agree with you jon that there is no necessary reason
why only the free market should be treated as spontaneously
evolved. The formation of a planed economy may be the
'spontaneous' result of class struggle. When I said that
the Santa Fe people identify emergent properties etc with
being 'of course' the free market, it is just 'of course' from
their ideological standpoint.
