I have found it almost impossible to construct a dynamic model
with any considerable number of variables that is not chaotic.

I find the above to be a very interesting aside from Paul. It would seem
to me that the very process of creating a dynamic model in mathematical
terms tends towards the chaotic because of the amount of variables that
one is allowing for. On the one hand, the more variables that are held
constant, the more simple and simplistic the model becomes. On the other
hand, the more variables that one allows to change, the less
determinant become the results. One has to, therefore, build a theory
that creates order from the chaos but doesn't ignore or oversimplify
complex relationships. This suggests to me that theory-building shouldn't
necessarily take the form of mathematical models where complex and
dialectical relations are involved.
