I haven't updated this figure in a few months, but as of earlier this year,
the average real hourly wage for nonsupervisory workers (about 70-80% of
the labor force) is about 16% off its 1973 peak. This comes from an
unimpeachable official source - the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
