Lenin as "dictator"

Louis Proyect:
Lenin never "dictated" to anybody. He blasted the ultralefts (George
Lukacs was a Hugarian 'ultraleft') and they blasted him right back. We
read Lenin's "Left-Wing Communism" only because it has become a classic.
The arguments of the ultralefts in the early 1920's have faded into
obscurity because they were just so much nonsense. But at the time the
ultralefts often went their own way. What the Comintern turned into was
no fault of Lenin's. As a matter of fact, the working people and
peasantry of this planet need some kind of world socialist organization
since the capitalists are organized globally.
