ISM-Vancouver activists are staying in Gaza house Rachel Corrie died trying
to protect

Carel Moiseiwitsch and Gordon Murray of Vancouver are currently staying in
the house of Dr. Samir Masri in Rafah Camp, Gaza Strip. Rachel Corrie, an
ISM Activist from Olympia Washington was killed on Sunday by an Israeli
Occupation Forces (IOF) armoured bulldozer when she tried to prevent it from
demolishing this house.

"Rachel gave her life for this house and so it has become an important
symbol both for the Palestinian people and for ISM," said Murray. "We are
proud to play a small part in preserving her legacy."

ISM activists in Rafah stay overnight in houses slated to be bulldozed by
the IOF in order to prevent the demolition. "Rachel stayed in Dr. Samir's
house many times and was a close friend of the family," said Moiseiwitsch.
"They were all devasted by her death, especially one young girl who cried
for days after Rachel was murdered."

Gordon Murray and Carel Moiseiwitsch are available for live radio interviews
by phone. Their cell phone number in Rafah (PST+10 hours) is
011-972-52-812-649 and their email is gordon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Please call
between 6am and 1pm PST to arrange an interview.
