Jim Devine to Speak in Sacramento

Jim Devine, author and lecturer, will give a talk "Marxian Theory and the
Millennium Crisis? on Thursday, December 20 at 7 p.m. in the Green Room at
the Sierra 2 Center, 2791 24th Street, Sacramento. He teaches political
economy at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
Devine?s talk is part of the Point of View: Challenging Perspectives on
Current Issues speaker series sponsored by The Marxist School of Sacramento.
Devine will look at the current world slowdown and corporate globalization.
He said a Marxist interpretation of both connects the slow growth of
workers? wages relative to their productivity.
This event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome. For more
