Global Crisis
Public Forum
War, Terrorism, and Global Crisis:
A Socialist Response
The tragic events of September 11 shocked and horrified Americans and
the world. Since then, the U.S. has declared a "War on Terrorism."
But will the "War on Terrorism" insure a world free from terroristic
violence? If not, what will? Please come to a public forum that will
explore the causes and possible solutions to this latest world crisis
from a socialist perspective. The panelists will be:
Paul Le Blanc (Member, Solidarity; author of A Short History of the
U.S. Working Class and From Marx to Gramsci)
Carol Stabile (Pitt Women Studies Program and a member of the Metro
Pittsburgh Labor Party)
Dennis Brutus (South African activist-poet; Professor of Africana
Studies, University of Pittsburgh)
Room 120, David Lawrence Hall, University of Pittsburgh
Wednesday, December 5th
7-9 p.m.
This forum is sponsored by Solidarity, a socialist, feminist, and
antiracist organization.
