What explained the early historical events. Unless you can explain them, they are
not an explanation of anything. That's the trouble with the genetic fallacy. It
catches you up in an endless regress. You have to explain sexism etc in the
present *in terms of causes in the present.* I'm really not interested in
exchanging Just So Stories.
