Fw: NYC Protest against Vieques Bombing

ATTENTION ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!!

The Women for Peace and Justice in Vieques in conjunction with various other Puerto Rican/Vieques organizations are calling for an emergency picket to protest the military bombing practice that began today at 3 p.m. in Vieques! The practice has begun while brave and courageous Viequense people are still in the military bombing ranges engaged in civil disobedience! The practice has begun with inert bombs, these bombs produce the same level of damage to the environment and to people that live ones do! Do not let the military or the media fool you!

The picket will be held at 5 p.m. at Ralphe Bunche Park in front of the United Nations (that is 42nd Street and 1st Avenue) on Monday, June 26th, 2000!!

Please bring as many people as you can, circulate this message far and wide!!
