right on to WG's "Pretty Boy Floyd" (done quite well by The Byrds on
*Sweetheart of the Rodeo* album, btw)

Re. Attica, there's Yoko Ono & John Lennon's "Attica State" which
appears on *Sometime in New York City* album (great album imo although
it wasn't well received when released in 1972, considered to have
sophomoric politics and plodding music courtesy of backing band
Elephant's Memory)... Michael Hoover

What a waste of human power
What a waste pf human lives
Shoot the prisoners in the towers
43 poor widowed wives

Attica, Attica State, we're all mates with Attica State

Media blames it on the prisoners
But the prisoners did not kill
"Rockefeller pulled the trigger"
That's what the people feel

Attica...

Free the prisoners, jail the judges
Free all prisoners everywhere
All they want is truth and justice
All they need is love and care

Attica...

They all live in suffocation
Let's not watch them die in sorrow
Now's the time for revolution
Give them all a chance to grow

Attica...

Come together join the movement
Take a stand for human rights
Fear and hatred clouds our judgment
Free us all from endless night

Attica...
