Huh, what? I have my quarrels with Cockburn, but bracketing
him with Hitchens & Sontag is incoherent.

I also have my quarrels with the *Nation* for publishing Sontag and
not giving anyone space to respond to her war mongering. (I assume
that my letter of protest was not the only one submitted but not
printed.) As for Hitchens I stopped even reading him after his bizarre
attack on abortion rights. But you need to keep your quarrel with
Katha focused on what she says on this list, not on any supposed
position on the basis of her association with the *Nation*.

As to Jared Israel. People should check out his web page. Whatever
his faults he is a far more trustworthy source on Yugoslavia than is
NATO or the NY Times.
