Capital is strong relative to labor. So if capital is strong, almost
by definition labor has to be weak. I know you've long argued that
it's wrong to blame labor or the left, such as it is, for this
situation - primarily in the U.S., but increasingly elsewhere as
well. Not to wax postmodern or anything, but I don't see how you can
give primacy to one of these terms - capital's strength causes
left/labor's weakness. Doesn't the left, s.a.i.i., have any
responsibility for its situation? Or can we just point our fingers
upwards and say, "It's all *their* fault!"
