Re: Modest proposal to end the war
The Republicans aren't any better than the Democrats.
The underlying problem is fear among voters. Each voter
feels under pressure to vote for one of the two major
parties ... at fear that they'll be "wasting their votes"
if they vote for one of the dark-horse parties. Some of
these smaller parties don't even bother nominating a
candidate ... at fear that whichever of these two parties
they detest less will lose votes to the one which they
detest more. Their fear prevents them from realizing that
with each passing year, the Democrats and the Republicans,
while pretending to be rivals, become more and more similar.
