....and apparently retain the temperament and style of their upbringing,
even if the content changes. This really explains a lot of the preacherly
tone, retro sexual morality, and tendency to treat secular texts as
scripture.... Me, I was bent early on by Catholicism, which no doubt
explains the appeal of an aestheticized decadence to me.
