too bad the iranian boy 'genius" is spending all that brain power on
memorizing --and interpreting --the Koran! There are Christian
fundamentalist boys who are trained by their fanatical parents to do
this with the bible, to preach sermons etc. Orthodox jewish boys are
also  given major doses of religion at very young ages. I think such
kids are victims of child abuse.  I saw that BBC report -- and when I
saw that little boy carried around on the shoulders of grownup men, and
fussed over and catered to -- I thought, this story is not going to have
a happy end.

What would karl marx say about this, i wonder?
