Iran expects to sell 4000 vehicles in Venezuela

TEHRAN, July 21 (ISNA)-Iran predicts to produce and sell four thousand Samands and Saipa 141s by May 2008 in Venezuela.
Iran's car industry development organization chief in this regard explained that up to this point 220 cars had been produced and sold in Venezuela and that this organization predicted four thousand Iran Khodro Samands and Saipa 141s would be produced and sold by May 2008 in that country.
Reza Danesh Fahim added that currently the two models were being produced as SKD and that the Venezuelan branch intended to upgrade the production line to CKD assembly, which this was predicted to happen within two years.
The Venirauto Company is a joint venture project between Iran and Venezuela. Venirauto was established through 51 percent of shares to Iran and 49 percent to the Venezuelan side.
