Re: [Critical-Realism] RTS Reading1 on a discussion board

If we align the discussion of RTS by the paragraphs, we still can
(and should) use the text in those paragraphs as jumping-off point
for further-reaching elaborations. In this way the discussion
is relevant for someone who reads this book for the first
time. By necessity, the reader has to read the book paragraph by
paragraph. I think our discussion should supplement some of the stuff
such a reader needs to know while he or she is reading a specific
paragraph for the first time. This is not the only way to structure
the discussion, but it is a structure which can be helpful for future
readers of RTS.

Right now, I have been transferring everything that is sent to the
list to its appropriate place in the bulletin board. I can keep this
up for a while, let's just see how things work. If you wanted to help
me, please place your contribution on the discussion board *and* also
email it to the list. That would be wonderful.

Also: not every single conversation on the discussion board is
anchored in a paragraph. Some are summaries of the whole chapter, or
special topics like the 'generative mechanisms'.

Hans.
