Dave, others,

Right--to use perhaps what may be a metaphor, on the way toward truth.  The extent to which the reach exceeds the grasp remains I would think a critical issue.   

No doubt I am processing the little I know of Bhaskar through other lenses through some internalization of Dewey and Popper with a little theological kicker on the side.
