There's also a book that I have looked through, but not read much of, that
looks very good -- SCIENTIFIC REALISM: How Science Tracks Truth, by Stathis
Psillos published by Routledge in 1999.  This constitutes a pretty thorough
defense against sophisticated mainstream empiricisms and skepticisms and
concludes with a defense of natural kind terms.  Psillos follows
particularly Richard Boyd and David Papineau (Philosophical Naturalism, 1993).
