Hi All,

For what it's worth, "powerful particular" comes from Harre and
Madden's _Causal Powers_ and strikes me as a perfectly good term even
if it has disappeared from Bhaskar.

While I'm here, I wonder, James, if you could elaborate on the
falsity of the distinction between deontology and. . .sorry, it's on
my home computer. . .was it consequentialist ethics?
