Hi Howard,
Thanks for your nice post. I like it that you always go back to Aristotle
on cause. I'm going to hush now, about my reservations on this matter.
Aristotelian physics always made the most sense to me anyway (which is to
say that I've been thinking that metaphorically there's something about
Bhaskar's treatment of absence that feels like the difference between
Aristotelian and post-Aristotelian science, but I can't seem to articulate
it... sigh. I guess we've come up against the limits of *MY* Reason,
anyway!)
Once again, though, it was I (me?) who said the stuff about de-onts not
seeming negative enough, not Louis; no fair juping on him!
