I think the number pi can change in empirical ways. For example, now I am
thinking of pi, but an hour ago I was not. So pi now has a property that
it did not possess an hour ago, namely that I am thinking of it.
Therefore, pi changed. It is of course the same number as before, but it
enters into changing relations with other things. In that respect it is no
different from a material object. It is a fallacy to think that abstract
objects do not enter into empirical relations. Of course the resulting
empirical properties of pi are not mathematical properties, which are
essential to it, unlike my thinking about it.
A similar principle holds for Planck's constant and molecular structures.
I don't understand your reference to material bodies or why an atomistic
concept of the world would follow.
