[AUT] Re: aut-op-sy Digest, Vol 29, Issue 1

so ive been hearing about the shutting down of ungdomshuset in copenhagen and i thought we could discuss this a little in its wider context of the history of autonomist spaces. i dont have much to offer theoretically right now, i just wanted to voice my sadness and anger at such a historic hub for activists, militants, revolutionaries, etc. being erased in the name of 'property rights'. the new owners are apparently cultish xtian fundamentalists. grrr.
i guess they already have a new house going, but it just seems that squats and even rent-paying infoshops and the like have been suffering a lot of repression in recent years. im trying to gain some perspective on the importance of such places in relation to the erosion of 'public spaces', the commons, etc.
