some precisions :
- Eva Jasiewicz is a Polish anarchist kiving in great-britain. She'as a
member of Occupation watch and was for months in Iraq. Her articles on
worker struggles in Iraq are generally very good, but she's somewhat
optimistic on Resistance and Political Islam - to be fair.
- OWFI is not the oil union. It's the Organisation for Freedom of Women in
Iraq, who fight against charia law and does a lot of grassroot work for
refugees and women victimes of honor killing in Iraq.
- French reading people can read my article on Mansoor Hekmat'marxism (
http://www.solidariteirak.org/article.php3?id_article=176). Mansoor Hekmat,
died in 2002, was the theorician and worker-communism, the biggest
left-communist tendancy in the world.
- ISWG is an england-based group in support of workers struggles in Iraq.
They do a good job, but hesitated for a long time on support to IFTU (Iraqi
fedartion of trade-union), the official regim union, led by communist party.
I think after ESF scandal on IFTU, they changed their position on this.
- In France, we have Solidarité Irak (http://www.solidariteirak.org),
dedicated to support of FWCUI (fédération of workers councils and unions in
Iraq), UUI (Union of unemplyed in Iraq), OWFI and WCPI -- even if we have
close contacts with some others communists groups in Iraq (LWPI, CUI). We're
in good contact with ISWG.
