And another thing. Theoretically speaking, reading *can* in fact be
considered a sexual activity. Hell, *any* reader of Zizek knows that!
If you read Freud (but its also in Lacan, Klein, Kristeva etc), you
can find how he divides libidinal energy: thought is in a sense a
breaking away from sexual libidinal investments. When one invests
oneself in thought, one divests from a particular type of libidinal
investment and invests that very same energy towards thought (whether
that be in writing, reading, math... blah blah blah). The text can
thus be considered a sexualized object (when it is heavily invested
in). Everyday when I ride the train to and fro downtown I see old
women deeply engaged in these books with these grins of pleasure on
their faces. Lyotard wrote somewhere about Marx's comments about
Judges who "get off" on the sexual pleasure of judging (though I don't
know where that is exactly). Derrida always spoke about a writers
relationship with things like masturbation, anality etc.

So not "locker room"... merely a decentralized classroom!
