personally I find to take critiques these very seriously when they make such
silly statements as "the book was written in 2000" when it clearly say in
the preface that it was written between the end of the Persian Gulf War and
the beginning of the Kosovo War, so roughly between 1992 and 1994. now, if
someone wants to be critical about a text but hasn't even taken the time to
get right their details, how seriously can one take it?

personally this just seems to be a maximally uncharitable reading fueled by
socialist angst that negri and hardt are not willing to play with their
cherished toys or orthodox notions of class/party anymore. although I do
wonder what these authors would be saying now after the publication of
Multitudes, although I suspect just more of the same.
