Not 'undoes' but is frighteningly, distractingly
redundant. The difference between modalities of
repression/control -- for those of us who don't
want to be part of it -- rests in figuring how to
resist and survive them. Often, deciding between
different modes of repression/control seems
easier, is all. But it's not like those of us
here need to spend much time thinking about which
is 'better' (as if there's some general way of
measuring suffering, of universalising the
question of 'better for whom,' and so forth).
There are more than enough people who are paid to
ponder the question of which form of control is
'better.' I don't see this as my job.
