In Baltimore and Washington DC, there is a definite impact on jobs and hope
for jobs.  There are also a host of secondary and tertiary jobs created,
such as security in public places which oddly started out as largely African
American employed, but that is rapidly changing.

Btw, IMO the fear of loss here is getting expressed through xenophobic,
racialist lenses in many cases.
