Thanks to all who replied

I now have a copy of both the Lordstown and Flint pamphlets. However the
incident I described in my first post is not referred to in the Lordstown
pamphlet, which means that both our memories here on Merseyside are playing
tricks on us.

The reference to 'Detroit I do mind dying' I can check out myself, since I
have that - but if anyone can recall the pamphlet or reference from that
period that I'm referring to, I'd still be grateful.

Once again many thanks - and it is pleasing to see how many of us look back
on the old Solidarity with some affection, I am sure Ken Weller will be
cheered.
