Yes , your description of pol. scenarios of unions
participation in  anti-war actions is  accurate - esp. about the
drowning out of workers interests behind "popular front'  schemes
of the lib-labs, church community, PB domination  etc. who sow the worst
illusions
in a 'peaceful' and non-violent capitalism, election circuses, etc.

This is no doubt that  is going on here , but new  active trends of
of self-organized worker  protestors  for class organization  against
capital
and its wars have yet to be re-born.
Yes, the communists should also be inside this motion , challenging
the hegemony of the lib-labs , labor fakers,  etc , using props-agit to
expose what
is going on , talking to workers, linking up the hatred of  capitalist wars
to all the huge austerity cuts.

I will check out that web page on the ILWU  contract soon.
