Genesis and meaning of Soviet-Type Societies, : by A. Wildt in
an issue of Telos from '79. A good review of the contros on totalitarianism
is in, "German Socialist Intellectuals and Totalitarianism, "
from Univ. of illinios Press, blurbed by Stephen Eric Bronner
and Doug Kellner, so it isn't a Cold Warrior book. Also, a more
centrist acct. the book by Abbot Gleason from Oxford U. Press.
