AUT: re: biological determinism
I don't think it is unhealthy to be highly sceptical of claims our human nature
is determined by hormones, genes or childhood traumas. Alleged scientific
discoveries about our brains and genes are invariably used for political
purposes. So why not be sceptical? It should be encouraged. As for parodying
honest folk who don't like the white coats telling them what's good for them as
conspiracy freaks, well, that's a pretty authoritarian way to conduct an
argument.
