Re: AUT: individualist anarchism

Under capitalism, it makes no sense to think of
conservatism as being a movement to "conserve" the
current set-up with no changes. Business activity
changes the world with blinding speed.

Liberalism means saving capitalism through small
changes. Liberalism co-exists with conservatism, sort
of a back-and-forth blaming of each other in a "lesser
evil" game. Small reforms then small takebacks, etc.

Fascism, capitalist monarchism, religious
fundamentalism, etc. as ultra-rights, and socialism
and anarchism as ultra-lefts, are relative newcomers
to the game. They need each other too, as in the way
that the most "radical" socialists label everything
they don't like "fascist."

Rather than a circle, I'd say arms held in parallel,
with various points touching, such as the extreme
fingertips. This is why anti-communist provocateurs
keep suggesting that there is a synthesis of socialism
and fascism--a typical half-truth. This is why
populism sounds like an either/or and neither/nor
philosophy. Pro-capitalist theory and practice go
wherever they are paid to go.
