Certainly, the catchphrase "diversity of tactics" has been formulated as a way of agreeing to disagree. But this disagreement presupposes entirely different schemas for understanding what exactly "politics" is. Moreover these disagreements degenerate into sectarian squabbles in which people who define themselves as anarcho-syndicalists refuse to even speak to people who refer to themselves as anarcho-communists. The terms of debate become reified, they take on a surface appearance while the material relations underlying these terms are completely overlooked or covered up. Thus, some groups are all too happy to totalize the field of opposition with unquestioned common-sense assumptions on what diversity means while refusing to even listen to the arguments of a few troublemakers. In other words, I want to uncover the entire form that the disagreement takes needs to be exposed. I feel that by having different "activists" draw/spatialize the relations they have with other people/groups, many of these assumptions can be brought out which would ideally provide a basis for discussion between people/groups.</P>
