personally I found the pamphlet really disappointing as it was almost
completely about local stuff, and it isn't really possible to talk about the
Poll Tax without a wider context, but I must admit Haringey were amazingly
good at local organising.
I remember, and its not in the pamphlet, being up north for a claimants'
gathering over a year before the Poll Tax came in (in England anyway) and on
going to pub for refreshment some fellow Haringey people were found and
immediately signed up as street reps.
